Next Steps Senior Transitions, is a family owned business and a member of the National Association of Senior Move Managers (NASMM). We are a full-service company known for our creative problem solving, personal consideration of each client and attention to detail. We provide a single point of contact for the multiple tasks and service providers involved in home modification for aging in place as well as the preparation and sale of a home prior to a move. We know each situation is different; that´s why our friendly, compassionate staff will take the time to listen to your specific needs and concerns. We offer the local, dependable assistance that seniors and their adult children need in the process of re-evaluating and changing living arrangements due to health or mobility issues. Next Steps began one summer when owners Allen and Deb Nelson helped friends move from their Florida home to a senior community in Ohio. That same summer, they helped another friend prepare her home for sale before a move to an assisted living facility. A few months later, a staff member at their church introduced them to the concept of senior move management as a business and Next Steps was born!

Our mission is to assist transitioning seniors and their families with compassionate, individualized service as well as emotional and logistical support during the relocation or home modification process.

Member of "The National Association of Senior Move Managers"

(NASMM) is the non-profit, professional association of organizations dedicated to helping older adults and their families with the physical and emotional aspects of moving. NASMM members are committed to maximizing the dignity and autonomy of older adults as they transition from one living environment to another. Founded in 2002, NASMM strives to facilitate the physical and emotional aspects of relocation for older adults by increasing industry awareness, establishing a national referral network of senior move managers, enhancing the professional competence of members, and promoting the delivery of senior move management services with compassion and integrity. NASMM members are reviewed for insurance and experience requirements prior to acceptance. On going educational programs reflect the NASMM commitment to professionalism and to working with older adults. NASMM has developed a Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice for all members.
